Durga Puja Painting Competition and Tree Plantation - 2007
Durga Puja Painting Competition and Tree Plantation completed with lots of excitement and fun on Maha Astami (18th Oct 2007).
As communicated following were the events in this:
1) Tree Plantation
2) Painting Competition and
3) Ladies Sankha Bajan Competition.
From last year we had fun manyfold this year. We started with Inauguration Ceremony at 8:15 AM. Choto Thakuma and Maa lit the Candle to begin the Painting and Tree Plantation Competition 2007. This was a formal declaration of Competition. Then began the painting competition. There were in total 32 Participants this year, compared to last year of 18. Almost 75% growth. Then the Tree Plantation began simulataneously by 9:30 AM. After that the Judges were asked to Judge the participants followed by prize distribution. This all went till 12 noon. There were lots of excitement around.
Then began the Shankh Bajan Competition for ladies. That lasted for more than an hour. With that led to the culmination of the Durga Puja Painting Competition and Tree Plantation 2007.
